Surgical therapy of rupture ectopic pregnancy may be provided either via open laparotomy or via the laparoscopic route. Laparoscopy has become the recommended approach in most cases. It is also preferred for laparoscopic surgeons experienced in laparoscopy and for patients in whom a laparoscopic approach is feasible.
