Technical skills in the field of laparoscopic surgery have been taught in specialized training centers for last ten years. Studies have shown that unlike open surgery, mere observing cases or assisting a surgeon does not improve the necessary skill to become a laparoscopic surgeon. Ergonomics and physics of laparoscopic surgery is completely different than open surgery and mastery of hand-eye coordination requires thorough exposure over state of the art HD wet operating room tissue followed by same skill demonstration in operation theatre. The initial training of the surgeons and gynecologist will be given in experimental operation theatre and once they will be acquainted with the ergonomics and hand eye coordination of laparoscopy they will get exposure in real operation theatre with our experienced laparoscopic surgeons. The experimental operating room at World Laparoscopy Hospital is a unique teaching unit and only one of its kind in whole world. It is very difficult to get in whole world better infrastructure than Lab of World Laparoscopy Hospital. The modern minimal access surgery lab comprising 25 experimental surgical working high definition stations linked by a high-speed image transmission system. We take only limited student in one batch so that they can work comfortably. Each working station is composed of an operating table, a digital laparoscopic camera coupled with 250W cold light source, broadband thermal insufflators, high frequency electro surgical generator and a vacuum suction-irrigation system. (Each station features 5 and 10 millimeter optics with 0 degree and 30 degree view angles telescope. We do not use simple endotrainer because the surgeon will not get the real feeling. We give real instrument to every candidate so that they can learn all the essential skill of minimal access surgery. Each operating table can be lit up by a surgical scialytic. YES! You will get chance to observe and assist in operation theatre. It is not possible to let you perform surgery independently (Free-Hand), because it is not in the favor of patient's life. According to international ethical guidelines independent learning over human patient is strictly prohibited. Even if you are a good laparoscopic surgeon you are not accustomed with our system and it will affect the safety of the patient. However, you will get chance to operate independently over state of the art HD wet operating room and we will assist you. However you will be allowed to perform independently in Lab environment everyday at least 8 hour intensive "Hands On "Everyday.

Exemption from Entrance Test for training at World Laparoscopy Hospital

We use First-come First-serve basis in evaluating applications. The candidate who will book their seat well in advance can get exemption from entrance exam. F.MAS and D.MAS course start every month from 1st of the month. If you will apply for course nearer to starting date even if you are well qualified you have to compete with other candidates and you are required to take entrance test and admission will be given to the doctor who score more in Online entrance test.

Candidate who has license to practice surgery or gynecology by Government of their respective country with at least 3 year experience of performing open surgery.

Medical College/University teachers with seven or more years of teaching experience.

If you are just MBBS with experience in surgery and gynecology and your countries Post Graduate Qualification is not equivalent to Indian Medical Council and you are not qualifying for exemption then you need to take the Entrance Test.

To get admission at Institute of Laparoscopic Training of World Laparoscopy Hospital the participants who take exam has to achieve minimum 50% marks. There admission also depends upon how much other competitor has achieved in the same session. You should apply for Business VISA if you are coming just for training. If you are going to the India for tourism with a short course of study like fellowship, you may be able to do so on a visitor visa. You should inquire at the appropriate Indian Embassy or Consulate.
