Tayside knot is a good laparoscopic knot which is used by laparoscopic surgeons to ligate tubular structures using multifilament suture material. practice of this not is necessary. In this video the Tayside knots correct configuration and method of tying this knot has been demonstrated. After experience of 20 years of teaching laparoscopic surgery we conclude that the acquisition of laparoscopic incorporeal suturing and knot tying technique is dependent on practice rather than whether the surgeon is in training or not.
