Port closure by veress needle
A new method of closing laparoscopy port incisions uses a modified Veress needle was developed by Dr R K Mishra in year 2002. The device easily closes the fascia, muscle and peritoneum, which prevent incisional hernias at these laparoscopic ports sites. It adds lnot any cost to laparoscopic procedures.
