Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy by Knotting
This video demonstrate laparoscopic cholecystectomy by extracorporeal knot with the help of stryker mini elegator or harmonic scalpel. The technique of extracorpreal knotting was used to ligate the cystic artery and duct in a consecutive series of 120 patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy at World Laparoscopy Hospital. Although nice dissection and separation of the duct and artery is recommended but in few cases In mass ligation of cystic duct and artery by extra corporeal meltzer knot in difficult is equally safe. The particular advantages of extracorporeal ligation include execution through a 5.5-mm cannula and accurate placement of the knot. In addition, the technique requires less length of mobilized duct and artery, which is an important practical consideration in patients with a fibrosed gallbladder and shortened cystic pedicle. This is an amazing and very inspiring video of Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy by Knotting. I think I need to watch it at least once a day or certainly at those times that it all just seems impossible. Thank you!
