Hi, I am already doing the laparoscopic surgery for last 10 year. My question is that if I will join the training program of World Laparoscopy Hospital. Will I get opportunity to learn fundamental principles of a laparoscopic anastomosis, In My opinion as a modern laparoscopic surgeon, knowledge of and the ability to perform each are essential. All participants who are enrolled get plenty of opportunity to learn anastomosis and after the course most of them in OSCE showed statistically significant improvement in operation time, overall anastomotic score, and difficulty level. After training at WLH surgeons had a significantly better anastomotic skill operation time than laparoscopy-naïve surgeons at the beginning of training; however, the difference became insignificant by the end of training. The difference in overall anastomotic score is significant between surgeons trained at World Laparoscopy Hospital and surgeons who has taken training in any other institute. Laparoscopy Training at World Laparoscopy Hospital give excellent anastomotic skill and our training exposed surgeons showed significant improvements in anastomotic leak rate and size of the anastomosis, whereas laparoscopic surgeons also showed improvements in timing, and these were significant statistically. In summary training at World Laparoscopy Hospital improves the laparoscopic bowel anastomosis significantly. |

Laparoscopic intracorporeal anastomosis is very much essential for a surgeon to learn and it has potential advantages such as reduction of wound surgical site infections, no manipulation, or reduction of abdominal wall incision. My question is also same that is this training institute deals with intracorporeal laparoscopic anastomosis skill improvement. |

I am a gynecologist and even in gynae suturing skill is very important if some one want to do the tubal anastomosis. Im my opinion anastomosis of fallopian tube require more skill than bowel anastomosis. |

Due to this increasing intricacy of laparoscopic gynecological procedures and conflicting obligations during residency training, gynecology residents are frequently uncomfortable performing a variety of advanced endoscopic procedures at the completion of their training due to lack of minimal access suturing skill. Nicely trained surgeons and gynecologists in both an academic and private practice perform more complex cases with higher utilization of laparoscopic suturing. Laparoscopic suturing and knot tying require development of a significant skillset requiring patience and a long learning curve, which can be difficult to achieve despite many advances made in the field of laparoscopic skill development. In one of the article published in World Journal of Laparoscopic Surgery it has been proved that FMAS trained gynecologists is higher in skill and they are more likely to perform advanced laparoscopic cases involving laparoscopic suturing. |
