Dear Dr Senthil The MS in Minimal Access Surgery course does not come under the purview of Medical council of India and basically it is a researched based University degree course. It is not a basic qualification like MBBS or MS. It is an add on degree course for already qualified surgeon and gynecologists. The degree will be awarded by Singhania University which is a UGC recognized University. By the end of this course, participants will be able to: Identify specific problems in the conduct of randomized controlled trials of minimal access surgical operations. Identify appropriate and feasible research designs to evaluate minimal access surgical operations. Identify appropriate outcome measures for safe laparoscopic and robotic surgery. Understand the contribution of health economics in surgical outcomes research. Develop appropriate level of skill to perform safe laparoscopic and robotic surgery. Please do not hesitate if you have any further query. With regard Dr J S Chowhan |
