Dear Dr Meekhaheel In Indian language of Instruction of Medical school is English and we dont give instruction in English only. All the lectures OR demonstration and lab discussion will be in English. If you have average English knowledge you should not have any problem in understanding our course. Anyway laparoscopy is a skill based sub-specialty which does not has barrier of language. India has been a major seat of learning for overseas student for thousands of years. The country was home to both Takshashila - the first university in the world, and to the inventor of the digit 0 - Āryabhaṭa. Albert Einstein once said:, "we owe a lot to the Indians who taught us how to count, without which no worthwhile scientific discovery could have been made". Today also, India is known as a communication hub because English is the main language of higher education study, and has become popular with international students from all over the world. According to Peter Drucker, "India is become a power house very fast, the medical education in India is now perhaps the best in the world". As I think Medicine Everywhere is in English at least the Medical Terms. So there should not be any language barrier in learning laparoscopy. |

The lectures and books is majority of country in the World are in English, projects are in English and all classmates, wherever they come from, are fluent in English. Some Medical Universities abroad organize foundation or preparatory program for those students who do not know the English. |

I am agree with Dr Amanda that medicine in most of the country is in English. At least nomenclature is must in English. Moreover, Laparoscopy is a skill and for learning and practicing a skill I dont think language should be a bar. |
