Good morning sir! I want to get the receipt of the fee which I will pay during the course. I need it to deposit for reimbursement by our department. Suppose my department will not pay me can I get income tax rebate on the fee which I have paid for laparoscopic training. With regard Dr Chanchala |

Dear Dr Chanchala As soon as you will join the course and pay the fee you will get receipt of your payment. You can use that receipt for any official purpose you want. This is the routine which we do for every candidate. Please consult your CA who will help you to show this profession course as your educational expenditure and definitely you will get benefit out of that. An education loan can not only fund your higher studies but also help save tax. The interest paid on the education loan can be claimed as deduction, as per Section 80E of the Income Tax Act, 1961. |

Under the earlier provisions, the deduction on education loan was available only for pursuing full time studies for any graduate or post-graduate course in engineering, medicine, management or for post-graduate course in applied sciences or pure sciences including mathematics and statistics. However, the list has been expanded to even include vocational studies now or any skill development course. |
