Hi I am a gynecologist in Egypt. I am consultant at one of the very busy hospital. I am afraid that I will get leave for directly two week. Can I do initial two week F.MAS first and later two week after few month. This way I can arrange the leave from hospital and I will also get some time to work in my hospital. I want also to know what will be the fee of the course of later two week. Do I have to pay the entire fee or only the difference in Fellowship and Diploma? With regard |

Dear Dr Md Aziz Khan Our four week course can be taken in two separate session. You can do first two week F.MAS first and later according to your convenience you can join for later two week and complete the D.MAS. You have to apply for the course few month in advance because there are limited seats available. Although we highly recommend you to complete the course in one go because every batch has different tempo. If you will join the later two week with different people who were not present with you from the first day, You will see different faces once you will join the separate batch. It is just like getting transfer for one place to another place takes sometime to adjust. Another problem is that your skill development has interrupted while you were not present in the institute and you may forget some of the things. You may have to revise those part. As far as the fee is concerned you have to pay only the differences of the course. Like if the fee of 4 week course is 7000 USD and if you have paid only 4000 USD for F.MAS then once you will do D.MAS you have to pay only 3000 USD remaining fee. With regard Dr J S Chowhan |

Fracturing the course is not a good idea. It will prevent developing essential skills and learning science and arts of Minimal Access Surgery. |

I think they will take total of DMAS fee. I dont think they will make you pay twice. In my experience World Laparoscopy Hospital is a very friendly institute which never over charges. |

I am also interested in laparoscopic training for 4 week but can not take that much big leave from hospital and arranging for fee also I need some time. |

You can take entire course in two step. First you can finish two week fellowship and later anytime you can apply for remaining 2 week to finish your Diploma. Only the fee of Diploma will be taken when you come next time. |
