Dear Dr Gargash There is no restriction of any type of cloth in India. You can wear anything but there is no much advantage in India to look as a western woman, wearing modest, Indian clothing gives the signal that you respect the culture. All the other dress which required in hospital like: OT gown, Aprons, Masks Cap, Shoe cover etc will be provided by hospital during the course and for this you don't have to bother. A dressing can have a number of purposes, depending on the type, severity and position of the wound, although all purposes are focused towards minimal access surgical environment. India is not a nation, nor a country. It is a subcontinent of nationalities. They have full freedom and you can wear any dress. Of course you should maintain your modesty as you are going to learn laparoscopic surgery. You are not for Fun... |

I have allergy to latex. In many hospital latex free gloves is not available. In my allergy avoidance is the best way to prevent reactions occurring. In practice, this is almost impossible since rubber is so widely used, Can your hospital will hemp me? |
