This video demonstrates Mini Gastric Bypass for Morbid Obesity by Dr. R. K. Mishra at World Laparoscopy Hospital. Obesity is defined as being thirty percent over the recommended weight. Eat the majority of your calories in the evening to fuel your sleep hours. The Basal Metabolic Rate is 40-50% of the calories consumed. Maintaining a healthy weight is simply balancing the calories being consumed with the calories spent. Bariatric surgery is the most effective treatment of morbidly obese patients to allow substantial, sustained weight loss and to improve or resolve obesity-associated comorbidities, thereby reducing mortality. For morbid obesity, bariatric or weight-loss surgery is the definitive treatment for producing significant and durable long-term weight loss. No dietary approach has achieved uniform long-term success for the morbidly obese.

he Mini Gastric Bypass (MGB) is a short, simple, successful, reversible laparoscopic gastric bypass weight loss surgery. It has been recently renamed as One Anastomosis Gastric Bypass. The operation usually takes shorter time, with lesser or similar hospital stay as regular bypass.
