Dear Dr Ju-Long FlexDex Inc.’s hs developped a single-use, disposable needle driver. It is designed to facilitate and enable laparoscopic suturing in different reconstructive procedures. This devices will expand to a wide variety of instruments and procedures. This needle driver, consisting of a tool frame, a tool shaft and an end-effector tip, uses parallel kinematics to translate the surgeon’s motions outside the patient’s body to an articulating tip inside the patient. The articulation of the tip of the needle holder is just like robotic needle driver. Like the robot, it restores the range of motion that surgeons lose in laparoscopic surgery, but takes a fraction of the time to learn to use. You can buy this but it is expensive and disposable. I will suggest you to use re-usable needle holder so that you can develop skill without the add of robotic skill. With regard Dr R K Mishra |
