Dear Sir, My question is if I have to do appendectomy for a 7 year old girl then What length of laparoscopic Maryland should I use in this pediatric laparoscopy? |

Dear Dr. Mubarak Hussain Pediatric laparoscopy instruments are available in 20- and 28-cm lengths. There are two length of pediatric instrument used in laparoscopic surgery. If the age of child is less than 5 year then you should use 20CM instrument and if the age is in between 5 to 14 year then 28CM pediatric instrument is proffered. |
