Dear Dr.Avinash Kumar Singh, The time gap between tubal ligation during LSCS and tubal recanalization should be shorter. Shorter time gap is having high success rate. Ideal time is 2-6 months after the previous surgery. Tubal recanalization technique applied depends on the methods used for tubectomy. Usually tubal recanalization done after tubal ligation by clips or rings is having high success rate while tubal ligation by cattery is having low success with recanalization. |

Dear Dr Avinash Kumar Singh The method of tubal sterilization varies according to the expertise available from fimbriectomy to classical Pomeroy's to laparoscopic sterilization using Fallope ring, Filshi clip or Hulka clip. If tubectomy during LSCS is performed by Pomeroy technique the it does not have good outcome if you do recanalization. The important factors determining the success of recanalization are technique of sterilization and the remaining length of the tube after recanalization. The laparoscopic gynecologist must use an effective technique of sterilization to minimize the failure rates. With regard Dr R K Mishra |
