If a port site wound did not closed after 2 months. What is causes and what should I do for my patient. Thanks Dr Mohammad |

Dear Dr Mohammad Infection is most common cause and now a days atypical mycrobacterial infection is very common. So you should get culture done and if this is the cause, start clarithromycin 500mg thrice daily with ATT. Second most common cause id any foreign body in the port would. It may be any stone or dead tissue. Please get one ultrasound of the wound done to rule out this possibility. With Regard Dr R K Mishra |
