Dear Sir, I want to know that What should be the guideline for perspectives on minimal access surgery in the time of COVID-19. Significant and realistic concerns have been raised among surgeons and gynecologists regarding the risk of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus during laparoscopic surgery. Dear Dr. Hemant Rai Regarding COVID-19 specifically, there is no data on minimal surgical exposures translating into a definitive risk to the laparoscopic operating room team. With a dearth of scientific evidence to guide us, the health care community is left with two solutions. The first involves continuing on with normal practice unless it becomes clear that these practices are definitively harmful. However, all the precautions should be taken before taking the patient to the operation theatre screening test should be done. In patients who are COVID-19 positive, unless they have a life-threatening emergency that requires surgery, we advocate for non-operative treatment and delay of surgery until recovered.
