Dear Mr Sharma

Primary infection with TB in majority of patient is normally subclinical and it heals, sometimes which has a scar. You could be surprised to understand that one third of world population is infected with TB germs and several of which may show a scar in their x-ray. You will find nothing you are able to do about it. Thoracotomy and resection of that part of scared tissue is possible but not advisable to do just to satisfy someone or to pass an exam.

TB infection means entry of bacteria in the body plus an immune response developing to it. It does not necessary mean experiencing the active disease. So not misunderstand.

In my opinion you should not be worried about taking out the scar since there are no specific techniques to do to remove this scar from x-ray. Please get evaluated with no other exact source of the finding. You may want to get CT scan done if you are worry about active disease. It is illegal to certainly be a criteria to help you unfit for your medical examination. however the policies of various organizations vary. Hope I answered your question.

Dear Sir,
I as very disappoint with my X-ray report its showing that i have mark on lungs, in my childhood i suffered from TB but now i am cure. But the mark is there. Due to this i declared unfit by GAMCA it was my carrier opportunity, which i have lost for Bahrain Country. can any suggest me that am i eligible for go any other country ? And I also request to GAMCA that please don't declare any person as Unfit if he is currently not suffering from any disease.

Dear Pankaj Soni,

Before your treatment, the disease was destroying our tissues; that's why you were coughing, losing weight, feeling weak, and otherwse very sick. During treatment, the medication killed the TB bacteria, but guess what - our tissues that have been damaged remain damaged. The bacteria has stopped eating tissues, but we've got to do something to help the tissues heal. So this healed tissue show in X ray film as spot, but dont worry you are fit for work try to another country.

The doctor saw a spot on my chest x ray then they told me that i cannot go to work abroad(Sudi arabia) because of this spot.. then i decided to have 2nd opinion for lung center of the Philippines.. they also see a spot but not clear if it is caused by tb or not then they requested for apecolordotic view x ray.. then they found nothing its clear.. my question is, can i apply for work abroad in my case?

Dear Julius
You need to consult a physician for this. If you have a spot on your chest xray then it can be due to several reasons like tubeculosis, pneumonia and other chest infection. So first you need to consult your nearby physician and after his medical certificate you can try for abroad.

I had tb(tuberculosis) and I am now cured. One of my friends said I can heal the scared tissue by doing some training like running, cardio or even swimming. Is this correct

Dear Sthe
It is possible that after completing your anti tubercular treatment findings on the chest xray should disappear. So for this you can go for a chest xray to find it out. If there is old healed scar it will not go completely.

sir.i have got treatment of TB.exdutate pleural effusion before three year.now i got x ray attached showimg radio dense opacity.how it will treated.

Reply:- If you've had a history of tuberculosis (TB) and are now experiencing a new radiodense opacity on an X-ray, it's essential to consult with a healthcare professional, preferably a pulmonologist or an infectious disease specialist, to determine the cause and appropriate treatment. This could be due to various factors, and a medical evaluation is necessary to make a proper diagnosis.

The radiodense opacity might be related to several conditions, including recurrent TB, scarring, or other lung conditions. Here are some general steps that your healthcare provider may follow:

Clinical Assessment: Your doctor will take a detailed medical history, conduct a physical examination, and may order additional tests such as blood work, sputum culture, or a bronchoscopy to help diagnose the cause of the opacity.

Imaging Studies: Further imaging studies like a CT scan may be ordered to get a more detailed view of the opacity and assess its characteristics.

Evaluation of TB: If there is a suspicion of TB reactivation, the healthcare provider will likely perform tests like sputum culture, nucleic acid amplification tests, and possibly a chest X-ray or CT scan to assess the extent of the disease.

Treatment: Treatment will depend on the specific diagnosis. If TB is the cause, you may need to undergo a new course of TB treatment, possibly with different medications, as well as treatment for any associated complications or conditions.

I have chest x ray spot but I don't have any TB issue even I take all TB test. Its all negative. Please advice me how i can remove these sports.

Reply:- Spots on a chest X-ray can have various causes, and only a healthcare provider can determine the underlying issue through a physical examination, additional tests, and medical history review. Some potential causes of spots on a chest X-ray include:

Infections: Other than tuberculosis, there are various infections that can cause spots on X-rays.

Inflammation: Inflammatory conditions, such as sarcoidosis or certain autoimmune diseases, can lead to abnormalities on a chest X-ray.

Scarring or Fibrosis: Past injuries or lung diseases can result in scarring or fibrosis, which may appear as spots on an X-ray.

Benign Lesions: Some benign (non-cancerous) growths or lesions may also be visible on a chest X-ray.

Calcifications: Deposits of calcium can sometimes show up as spots on X-rays.

i took 6 months medication on ptb last 2012 i got cleared but left a scar in my lungs. now i lost my old xray result with the clearance can i still get pulmonary clearance? what i need to do..

Reply: If you have a history of tuberculosis (PTB) and have lost your old X-ray results and clearance documentation, you may need to undergo a new evaluation to obtain pulmonary clearance. Here are some general steps you could consider:

Visit a Healthcare Professional:

Schedule an appointment with a healthcare professional, such as a pulmonologist or general practitioner, who can assess your current health status and order relevant tests.
Provide Medical History:

Share your medical history, especially details about your previous tuberculosis treatment, the duration of medication, and any symptoms you may have experienced.
Undergo Diagnostic Tests:

Your healthcare provider may recommend diagnostic tests such as a chest X-ray, sputum culture, or other relevant tests to assess the current condition of your lungs.
Communicate Concerns:

Inform your healthcare provider about your lost X-ray results and clearance documentation. They may be able to guide you on the necessary steps to obtain new records or offer alternative solutions.
Follow Treatment Recommendations:

If any issues are identified during the evaluation, your healthcare provider will recommend an appropriate course of action. This may include further treatment or monitoring.
Request Documentation:

Once you have completed the necessary tests and evaluations, request a written clearance or medical report from your healthcare provider. This documentation is crucial for future reference and may be required by employers or for travel purposes.
