My hsg results say, uterine cavity is well filled with contrast and appears normal. No E/O abnormal filling defect or external pressure impression seen. Both tubes are well filled with contrast and show normal course. Bilateral distal tubal hydrosalpinx seen. Free peritoneal spill seen from both the tubes to suggest bilateral tubal patency. clinical correlation / sos laparoscopy will help. |

Dear Shreya A hydrosalpinx is a distally blocked fallopian tube filled with serous or clear fluid. The blocked tube may become substantially distended giving the tube a characteristic sausage-like or retort-like shape. The condition is often bilateral and the affected tubes may reach several centimeters in diameter. The blocked tubes cause infertility. The major cause for distal tubal occlusion is pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), usually as a consequence of an ascending infection by chlamydia or gonorrhea. However, not all pelvic infections will cause distal tubal occlusion. For this you can go for the Diagnostic laparoscopy, it will give the clear idea about your tube. And need to known about your marriage history, age. After that further treatment can be decided. |

uterus anterverted and normal size and shape. no evidence of mullerian anomalies noted. no evidence of endometial/cervical lesions noted. both Fallopian tubes show normal course, caliber, patency. bilateral peritoneal spillage is not seen. impression: possibilitu of bilateral tubal block Reply: Dear Sir/Maidam, Both your fallopian tubes appear to be patent on USG examination. But the report also suggest that there may be possibility of B/L tubal blockage. We can do Lap. and Dye test or Diagnostic Hysteroscopy and Chromopertubation to remove the partial obstruction. Dear sarita It would have been much helpful for me if you have send us the complete report any way if your tube are blocked you need to go for Diagnostic Laparoscopy. That will give the condition of your tube and if they are blocked we will do chromopertubation to open the tube . After this you can conceive normally. |
