Is MIPH Surgery is Painful?
One of the biggest advantages of MIPH surgery is that it is not painful. However, Little pain can be expected after any surgical procedure. The Stapled hemorrhoidopexy treatment also eliminates abnormally enlarged hemorrhoidal tissue, followed by the repositioning of the staying hemorrhoidal tissue back to its normal anatomic position. More recent surgical treatments consist of stapled transanal rectal resection (STARR) and treatment for prolapse and hemorrhoids (PPH).
This procedure is for internal piles just and not for external piles or anal fissures. Throughout the procedure, the anal sphincter muscle is drawn in due to tight stapling and if external hemorrhoids exist they also get pulled in and get concealed and get tucked inside the anal sphincter muscle and come back when staples fall after a couple of months and the sphincter comes to its typical position.
Formerly a lot of surgeons believed that this procedure is for external hemorrhoids also but the external piles reappear after the staples fall off.
