The World Laparoscopy Hospital has fellowship positions in robotic-assisted surgery and research for physicians who have not undergone a robotic training during their surgical, gynecological and urology residency but are interested in pursuing a career in robotic surgery. Clinical fellows participate in robotic-assisted surgery, develop laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgical skills, participate in pre- and postoperative patient care, attend clinic, participate in our weekly conferences. Fellows are expected to pursue clinical research projects with supervision from the senior staff. Clinical fellows are encouraged to submit and present their work at regional, national, and international meetings. The fellows are supervised by Dr. R.K. Mishra, fellowship director, and are mentored by the entire World Laparoscopy Hospital staff.

The World Laparoscopy Hospital has the largest experience in the world in laparoscopic training, and we have trained over 4000 surgeons and gynecologists from 108 countries. We have programs in prostate, kidney, and bladder cancer, and pediatric urology. Please visit our residency website at http://www.laparoscopyhospital.com/roboticsurgerytraining.html

Most individuals spend a week at World Laparoscopy Hospital as fellows. However, individuals are allowed to leave after training if they match successfully or choose a different career path.

In the past, virtually all of our clinical fellows have obtained a residency position in an SAGES approved laparoscopic training program through the match. This year, two of our fellows has been selected for cleveland clinic.
