Study was performed at World Laparoscopy Hospital by analyzing the video ratings data of minimal access surgeon’s operating skills has successfully predicted whether patients would suffer complications after leaving the operating room. The research assessed the connection between the technical skill of 100 laparoscopic surgeons and post-surgery complications in 4000 patients undergoing commonly performed laparoscopic general and gynecological surgery. Based on the research performed at World Laparoscopy Hospital viewing just surgical video that surgeons submitted themselves, surgeons were rated on a scale of just one to five, with 1 indicating the skill expected of the minimal access surgery chief resident and 5 indicating the ability of a master surgeon. 
 
Summary ratings varied from 2 to 4.9 and greater skill was associated with fewer postoperative complications and shorter operations. Within the study, minimal access surgeons or gynecologists who received low skill scores had complication rates much high 15% compared to 3% among high skill well trained laparoscopic surgeons.
