My younger brother's appendicitis operation was held by laparoscopy 01 year ago. The holes on the abdomen are not cured till now & remain infected. The infected holes become as tiny balloon & burst and wet bad liquid will come out from the holes frequently. What is the permanent management of this problem. Please let me know. We want to come in your hospital and would like to take the treatment of this problem. |

Dear Syadul Alam Ravi You have to find out the cause of infection. Culture and sensitivity and proper antibiotics will clear the infection in two week. If any infected tissue or stone is trapped in the port wound. it should must be removed. Please do not hesitate if you should have any further query. Sadhana |

Thanks for your prompt reply. You advise for culture & sensitivity, is it for blood? We have already got a test of biopsy and taken different type of antibiotics as per physicians different management, but no any luck. The wounded port/hole is remain as it is wet and wounded liquid come out after a period of time. We already given blood samples for culture & sensitivity test today as per your advise which the test report I want to send you for your kind evaluation and further management. Our local physicians told that it may be some parts of stitch thread did not dissolved with the abdomen skin and arise recurrent infectious matter. They also told that it should be a further operation will be executed and cut off the parts of wounded hole for removing the germs and infected tissue. We do not have confident on their advise cause of they did the operation and have been treating from the beginning but not being cured at all. Kindly give your advise for the management to permanently overcome from this problem indeed. Looking forward for your kind advise. Syadul Alam Ravi |

Recently many cases of this type of infection has been reported due to Tubercular or spore producing bacteria or due to fungus. If you are expecting foreign body you need to get the wound inspected by our consultant. I will request you to bring the patient to World Laparoscopy Hospital. |
