We are warning you. We are seeing too many "cyberchondriacs", those patients who misdiagnose their illnesses after Googling their symptoms. The World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons is concerned the plethora of online medical information is doing more harm than good, with patients increasingly referring to the internet for advice before consulting a trained GP. Please let your doctor do your treatment. |

I had laparascopic gall bladder surgery. I also had prior sigmoidectomy surgery done and had history of Inguinal Hernia.(Not acute, never a problem) The gas used ( horrible shoulder pain) resulted in the inguinal hernia bulging badly, pain and buening. Was the gas responsible and should I have had open versus laprascopic to avoid this problem? |
