hello doctor, I am doctor tahssein from Iraq my mother 57 years old before 5 months doing gamma knife surgery in India for acoustic neuroma in left side ear...now she suffering from frequent bleeding with vaginal radiate pain & she doing histopathology for endomaterium biopsy that diagnosed as squamous cell carcinoma for cervix & i want to do CT scan or MRI for pelvis for more investigation ...so please doctor i need your openion about this case & please answer the following question : 1- Is this tumor is rapidly progression ? 2-Which type of surgery is more effective & less complications non invasive surgery or open surgery ? 3- Can do radiotherapy for remove this tumor like gamma knife or other radiotherapy which one is effective with less side effects ? |

Dear Dr Tahsseinali Squamous cell carcinoma grows very fast. Without knowing the stage of carcinoma it is difficult to decide which therapy is better viz: Radiotherapy or Radical hysterectomy with lymphadenectomy. MRL should be done first followed by some more investigation. |
