My Mother is 50+ year old . And she is leaving alone in her village home. I'm living in Noida . Recently (3-4 Months ago) She had pain in abdominal & as per doctor advise she had done Whole abdominal Sonograpry. Where one thing is decteted ....... "CBD is not dilated.No calculi or SOL is seen in CBD. PV is normal . Gall Bladder --- is physiologically distented. Multiple Calculi are seen in gall bladder. Gall bladder thickness is normal. PANCREAS is Normal size and homogeneous in echo-pattern, No focal lession is seen in pancreas . MPD is not dialet." |

Dear Bapi Your mother need laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The surgery to get rid of the gallbladder is known as cholecystectomy. A less invasive way to take away the gallbladder is known as laparoscopic cholecystectomy. This surgery uses a laparoscope. With laparoscopic cholecystectomy, you might go back to work sooner, have less pain after surgery, and have a shorter stay in hospital along with a shorter time to recover. Surgery to remove the gallbladder with a laparoscope does not require that the muscles of your abdomen be slashed, because they are in open surgery. The incision is a lot smaller, which makes recovery go quicker. With laparoscopic cholecystectomy, you most likely will only have to remain in the hospital overnight. With open cholecystectomy, you would need to stay in the hospital for around five days. Because the incisions are smaller with laparoscopic cholecystectomy, there is not just as much pain following this operation as after open cholecystectomy. |
