sir,
with due regards,my wife got pregnancy,it's just 0ne month of pregnacy,just one week before,laproscopy of gall blader has been done,now she is on bed rest for 15 days as per doctor advice.during hospital admitted,lots of anti-biotics,like ceftrixasone-1gm-inj,amoxy-clave tab,and ofloxacin+ornidazole combination has been given?in this situation,please suggest me ,is it safe for pregnancy?

It is completely safe for your wife to continue with pregnancy. These antibiotics which you have mentioned are quite safe and Laparoscopic Surgery itself does not have any bad effect. Operative intervention may be performed in any trimester of being pregnant. Historical recommendations were to obstruct surgery until the second trimester to be able to lessen the rates of spontaneous abortion and preterm labor. Recent literature indicates that pregnant patients may undergo laparoscopic surgery safely during any trimester without any increased risk to the mother or fetus.
