Dear Dawn Laparoscopic Surgeon has repaired your umbilical hernia but the scar tissue of skin your surgeon will remove later once your mesh will get fixed. It is important not to cut the skin at the time of laparoscopic mesh fixation to prevent infection of Mesh. Please do not hesitate if you have any further query related to laparoscopy.
