Dear Mr. Pankaj Your relative age is 60 year and stone size is 12 mm so you should get the surgery done as soon as possible. Please keep in mind that with delay complication can increase. THE ADVANTAGES OF PERFORMING THE PROCEDURE LAPAROSCOPICALLY is rather than a five to seven inch incision, the operation requires only four small openings in the abdomen. Patients usually have minimal post-operative pain in laparoscopic surgery compared to open surgery. Patients who get laparoscopic surgery usually experience faster recovery than open gallbladder surgery patients. Most patients go home within one day after laparoscopy and enjoy a quicker return to normal activities. A thorough medical evaluation by your physician, in consultation with a surgeon trained in laparoscopy, can determine if laparoscopic gallbladder removal is an appropriate procedure for you. World Laparoscopy Hospital is specialized in Laparoscopic and Robotic Training the and complete package of this surgery at WLH would be 35,000 only. for BPL family under RSBY. For people living below poverty line, an illness not only represents a permanent threat to their income earning capacity, in many cases it could result in the family falling into a debt trap. When the need to get the laparoscopic surgery arises for poor families they often ignore it because of lack of resources, fearing wage loss, or wait till the last moment when it |

Hey as I know there are some risk also on this surgery like: There are some risks when you have general anaesthesia. There is chance of infection or bleeding in the wounds. The abdominal organs, glands, intestines, or blood vessels may be damaged. A blood clot may enter the bloodstream, and clog an artery in the lung. A hernia can develop at the site of the wounds. |

I AM HAVEING CRONIC PANCERTICE & WITH A PAIN IN ADBOMEN AFTER U/S IT IS BEEN FOUND 12MM STONE IN GALLBLADDER. PLEASE ADVICE ME WHAT DO,GO SURGERY OR LAPORSOCIPY Dear Deepak Gallstones and alcohol are the two most common causes of Pancreatitis, accounting for 80% of cases. Gallstone pancreatitis results from transient obstruction of the ampulla of Vater by small stones or edema. Clinical features include preceding biliary colic, the presence of cholelithiasis or biliary dilation on gallbladder ultrasound, and liver function test abnormalities. Gallstone pancreatitis typically does not recur after cholecystectomy or endoscopic therapy (biliary sphincterotomy and stone extraction). Alcohol is the second leading cause of AP, which typically occurs after episodes of binge drinking. After recurrent episodes, most alcoholics go on to develop chronic pancreatitis. So in our opinion careful assessment is required in your case. Please have opinion of a good surgeon and get the laparoscopic cholecystectomy done. With regards M.K. Gupta |

I have calcus in gall bladder of 18.4 mm, with no pain. What should I do? If any medicine to get it out. Dear Shiv A gall stone is a stone formed within the gallbladder out of bile components. The term cholelithiasis may refer to the presence of stones in the gallbladder or to the diseases caused by gallstones. Most people with gallstones (about 80%) never have symptoms. In 1–4% of those with gallstones, a crampy pain in the right upper part of the abdomen, known asbiliary colic, occurs each year. Complications of gallstones include inflammation of the gallbladder, inflammation of the pancreas, and liver inflammation. You need to go for the surgery to get rid of it. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is the surgery of choice. In this the small holes are made in the abdomen through which the instrument and telescope are passed and the surgery is carried out. |
