Dear Doctor, My name is Naomi Gesare from Nairobi-Kenya. I am 29yrs and blessed with 1child 16yrs. Until last year I never tried to have a child which I conceived and miscarried in 11wks. During my pregnany, my gynae discovered that I have a septum uterine. After miscarriage, I did HSG that revealed that my uterus is completely separated by a septum with 2horns one bigger than the other. He also mentioned that I might also be having 2cervix as per his observation and told me that I need to undergo labaroscopic surgery and I got worried since I carried my 1st born to term with no complication and gave birth normally. As I was going through internet trying to go understand what it means I came across your hospital details. Please can you kindly help me what it takes and what exactly I need to do? In Kenya there is no Uterine doctor as per my research and a worried if I can afford the cost of the operation overseas. Thank you for your kind assistance. Naomi Gesare |

Dear Naomi Gesare It is very unlikely that you have so many problems and you have delivered your first baby normally. In our opinion you should go for one uterus MRI before laparoscopy or hysteroscopy to have the differential diagnosis. Sometime even extensive adhesion also give the same HSG finding. If you can send us the scanned copy of your MRI report we can further advice you the actual plan of treatment. With regards M.K. Gupta |
