A few days back, I have noticed a bulge in groin area (right hand side) wherein I feel pain occasionally. Is it hernia? If yes, what type of hernia is it? How to get relief from this temporarily and permanently? I look forward to getting your advice at your earliest convenience. Thank you |

Dear B R Singh It is not necessary that all the bulge will be hernia. Actually your bulge has to be diagnosed by a surgeon. Causes of Inguinal swelling: The following medical conditions are some of the possible causes of Inguinal swelling. There are likely to be other possible causes, so ask your doctor about your symptoms. Lipoma Sebaceous cyst Lymphadenopathy Infection Cat scratch disease Malignancy Vessel aneurysm Haematoma Undescended testes Inguinal hernia etc... With regards M.K. Gupta |
