Hello, my name is Melanie. On January 23, 2012 I had both of these procedures done laparoscopic . I am talking 1oxycodone at bedtime along with Tylenol and ibuprofen
(800mg) through out the day. I had started walking and felt I was getting better every day. I leaned over the sink putting my weight down on the edge. That caused stabbing pain on the right side below my breast. It lasted for a few days and now has subsided. I do not like to sit up, it causes aching and pain. Tonight I climbed stairs, I thought I should practice. Now I feel pain on my left side, and down the middle of my stomach, I hope I do not go into stabbing pain. I feel like I have come a long way since my surgery. I get very hot then cold. In 2010 I had a total abdominal hysterectomy due to ovarian cancer. I did have hot flashes for a little while
but nothing like now. I do not feel strong enough to drive yet. I am
Eating and drinking fine. I am 47 years old. Will I get back to who I was,
How long really is recovery? My tumor was not cancer. Thank you, Melanie

Dear Melanie
The cause of loss of drive and weakness may be many. After TLH hormonal dis-balance is one of the important cause. After surgery you should go for regular followup to the same surgeon and gynecologists and they only will be able to evaluate your status.
