went home after procedure stomach started to swell looked like eight months pregnant had trouble breathing went to hospital had fluid on left lung and in abdominal area it was drained know back again why is that |

Dear Avonna The exact cause of pleural effusion and abdominal distension only the operating surgeon can explain you but as you are giving the history it seems to be paralytic illeus and microatelectasis due to excessive pressure of CO2 during surgery which can create this problem.
