testical problems

hello doctors, i am 25 years old. my left testicles disapperd many years ago. the two testicles was decended properly before. but after when i was 3 years old the left one become smaller and smaller then finally it disaapeard. i went to the hospital, but the doctor said their is no problem after he saw in the ultra sound. i am afraid I will not a woman get pregant. at this time i have only one testicle, the right one. I feel good at this time. my sexual behaviour is normal. i can do sex effectively, proper ejaculation, normal growth, no pain in the right testicle, and the like. can I get a child in the future? please help me. |

Dear Metu One testicle is usually sufficient enough to produce semen and testosterone in male, although decreased semen production and quality are often seen with this condition. A testicular biopsy is only necessary as long as the semen analysis demonstrates viable sperm, which could be used in an in vitro fertilization procedure. Testosterone supplementation would only suppress semen production and would be counterproductive in this case. Finally, it is a profoundly unfair and false statement to declare fertility or the lack thereof solely the responsibility of the female partner. The cause of infertility is a female factor in approximately one-third of the cases, male factor in roughly another one-third and attributable to both partners in the remaining one-third of couples seeking treatment for fertility. Only one problem is there While cryptorchidism is associated with hypogonadism and testicular cancer in small percentage, this man has undergone a normal development and demonstrated no clinical signs of low testosterone.
