Hello Doctor
I am 33 years and recently underwent a routine check up and during the course of the ultrasonography,it was found that i have gall stone in the gallbladder measuring 8 mm - 10 mm, there is no pain or any other symptom, can a laparoscopy help or will i have to remove the gall bladder.

Dear Sharon
When ever a stone is detected in the gall bladder it means that the gall bladder is diseased and should be removed. Laparoscopy is the type of surgery which is done through small holes and the patient recovery is fast, pain is less and cosmetically is much better as there are no big scars.

Thanks
