hi, my name is sam. i m facing this problem of dysuria more than 2 3 years . im 21 years old female. i went to doctors several times and result only shows bacterial growth and i did ultra sound and everything was normal. doctors prescribed several anti biotics and i had them but it have not cured my problem. i need to go frequently to urinate but there is only few drops and i have to apply pressure to urinate .it has burning feeling. what should i do |

Dear Sam You are suffering from Chronic Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), ultrasound scan is normal. You should now go for IVP and CPE (Cysto panendoscopy) to look for any underlyiong cause for the Chronic UTI. In the meantime take some urinary alkaliser. Thanks With Regards Dr J S Chowhan |

Dear Kimpal, The Complications of a urinary tract infection include: -Recurrent UTIs occurring at least twice in six months or four times in a year, most commonly in women. -Urethral narrowing (stricture) with recurrent infections15 -Increased risk of preterm birth and low birth weight in pregnancy. -Permanent kidney damage. |
