Hi, My Wife's HSG report says..

Under aseptic & antiseptic measures procedure performed.
Contrast seen to outline the uterine cavity & Bilateral fallopian tubes.
Well Defined filling defect noted in the uterus, likely to air focus.
Bilateral fallopian tubes are opacified with normal spillage noted.
No focal dilated segment seen.
NB: Peritoneal spillage seen.

Could you please help me to understand this and recommend the further steps.

Here's a breakdown of the information:

"Under aseptic & antiseptic measures procedure performed": The procedure was carried out using sterile techniques to prevent infection.
"Contrast seen to outline the uterine cavity & Bilateral fallopian tubes": A contrast agent was used during the test to visualize the uterus and both fallopian tubes.
"Well Defined filling defect noted in the uterus, likely to air focus": There is an area in the uterus where the contrast agent did not fill completely, which is probably due to an air bubble.
"Bilateral fallopian tubes are opacified with normal spillage noted": Both fallopian tubes were filled with the contrast agent and showed normal spillage, indicating that they are likely open and not blocked.
"No focal dilated segment seen": There were no abnormally widened areas detected in the fallopian tubes.
"NB: Peritoneal spillage seen": Contrast agent was observed spilling into the peritoneal cavity, which is the space within the abdomen that contains the internal organs.
Based on this information, it appears that both fallopian tubes are open and there are no significant abnormalities detected. However, it is essential that you consult with your healthcare provider to discuss the results, as they have a complete understanding of your medical history and can recommend further steps tailored to your specific situation.
