Good Morning Dear Dr. Mishra, Greetings from Nepal, It is really my good luck to come to know you, what I have heard about you encouraged me to approach you. I am very thankful to GOD the ALMIGHTY for this golden opportunity. I regret to inform you that I am really suffering from Hiatus Hernia, and underwent endoscopy many times, the last one was performed on Oct 06,2010 as per the attached reports. My I kindly summarize the symptoms I am suffering for your kind perusal:- 1. I am honestly living a miserable type of living due to the aforesaid problem. Eating after 17.00 p.m is a real catastrophe to me. 2. Acidity is almost present at my stomach, regardless if my stomach is empty or full , hiccupping a lot, sometimes I feel my stomach is like a utensil filled with Acid and is placed over huge fire, it is boiling and the acid smokes comes out /vaporizes from my nose. I honestly don’t know why sometimes feel heaviness at my Epigastria region. • Year 2005 Endoscopy Revealed Grade II Esophagitis and Hiatus Hernia. • Oct 10,2010, Endoscopy revealed Sliding Hiatus Hernia Size 4 Cm, Normal .Stomach Mild antral erythema. I am seriously thinking of radical treatment to my sufferings by doing Nissen Fudoplication which is a serious option for me to continue my life peacefully. May I kindly request your sympathy & Kindness to advise me if it is possible to see you at your Hospital in India and do the necessary arrangement for performing the aforementioned procedure. Hence, I tried almost all the types of oral medications such as(Lanzor 30 mg, Gasec 20 mg ,Nexium 20 mg & Losec 40) but, unfortunately, all are useless to my condition. Additionally, Sir do I need Esophageal Manometry & 24 Hour Ph studies as pre requisites tests prior to perform Nissen Fudoplication Procedure. Pls. advise? I highly appreciate your kindness in reading this message and highly value hearing from you shortly. Have a good day Sir & May God the Almighty Bless you & Your family. Kind regards, Bishakha Muljal |

Dear Bishakha Muljal Thanks for your confidence on our hospital. According to our opinion you need fundoplication surgery. You should come to our hospital for examination and investigation like Endoscopy, Manometry as well as pH monitoring. Nissen fundoplication is a laparoscopic surgical procedure to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and hiatus hernia. In GERD it is usually performed when medical therapy has failed. The Nissen fundoplication is total (360°), but partial fundoplications known as Belsey fundoplication (270° anterior transthoracic), Dor fundoplication (anterior 180-200°) or Toupet fundoplication (posterior 270°) are also alternative procedures with somewhat different indications. Please consult any good surgeon to get second opinion. With regards Sadhana |
