Irregular and painful period

I am having heavy and irregular period. without medicine my period doesnt stop. i am prescribed oral contraceptive only 4 days back my period was over after taking TMF medicine and again my period/spotting has started yesterday. I have to come for laproscopic myomectomy next month. Plz suggest me some medicine which can stop my period for the time being. I will be highly obliged. |

Dear Dr. Nandita If you are suffering bleeding due to fibroid you can try GnRh agonists e.g. Lupron, Synarel, Busarelin are medications given by injection or nasal spray that create a temporary menopause allowing shrinkage. However on stopping medication the fibroid re-grows to its original size. Please get advice from surgeon who is going to operate on you for myoma. With regards Sadhana |
