I had laparosopic surrgery to remove what they thought was a fibroid outside the uterus. When they opereated it was inside the wall, they did it by laparoscopy anyway. I had 4 incisions, 1 of which was very close to the bone of my left hip, the largest, more then 1 cm, close to 2 cm. I have now heard from a surgeon involved, but who did not do it, that the skin was stitched too deep and attached to the muscle layer. I have had a lot of trouble from this side, after 5 weeks walking still caused pain and felt like stitches were pulling on my flesh (I did not know the stitches were wrong until week 6). Now after 6 weeks I am finally feeling it is normalising, maybe becasue internal stitches have dissolved. My question is, should I expect trouble from the faulty stitching, should I have it changed still somehow? Could I have problems much later on from this? Thank you sincerely.

Dear Monique Plaisier
You should not worry about the stitches. All the internal stitches dissolve within maximum 6 month. The Gynecologist must have used morcellator for extraction of fibroid so it was a right decision to give stitches to muscle layer otherwise you might have developed incisional hernia. Little pain is normal and within few month everything will be alright. Wish you faster recovery.
