Dear Renu The indications for laparoscopic hysterectomy are the same generally accepted indications for hysterectomy. In our centre (LEC) the primary indication is abnormal uterine bleeding which we define as bleeding for more than Seven days with clots and also the need to wear additional protection for more than 2 cycles. Abnormal uterine bleeding includes all of the usual causes for example adenomyosis, fibroids, endometriosis and also patients suffering from bleeding diastesis. |
