Meckel's Diverticulum

Dear Dr R.K. Mishra After having had a diagnostic laparoscopy in 2007 with a meckel's diverticulum removed, removal of an obliterated appendix and adhesions to the cecum removed. I have been in cramping pain ever since this operation this was carried out by a breast surgeon privately in the UK. My symptoms are the same every day and do not change , gas,bloating,pain,belching,gas builds up so much i cannot sleep. If i dont eat food the pain is not so bad. i find that i am holding my stomach every night rolling in pain. The only way i can explain this is that i feel as though something is knotted inside or twisted, something just doesn't feel right. This illness is ruining my life. I am under weight and finding it very hard to put on weight so i am taking more liquid type meals than solid as this is easier on my stomach (less pain). English doctors have given up!! and just send me off with pain killers . If you think you could help put right or even look for the problem that i have. With your expertise in larparoscopy i would be willing to travel to you at the laparoscopy hospital for a diagnostic laparoscopy and tests. Regards Richard |

Dear Mr. Rechard Your symptom looks like subacute obstruction. Subacute obstruction, is partial obstruction of the intestine either by oedema, intestinal trauma or intestinal adhesions, presents similarly clinically, with bilious vomiting and cramping abdominal pain. In doubtful cases, you need oral water soluble contrast studies using nonionic contrast media with follow through films will confirm the diagnosis, define the level of the obstruction and may suggest the diagnosis in suspected cases. You need some radiological investigation thorough examination and diagnostic laparoscopy. We can perform this surgery for you. With regards R.K.Mishra |
