Dear Doctor, I was married on June 2008, then on Sept in the same year my doctor told me that I was pregnant but not in proper place, it was in my tube fallopian pipe and was already cracked. So the doctor done the laparotomy surgery which cut and sterilized my left tube. He said that my right tube was also clogged but already cleaned whenever he's doing the surgery. He said I still can be pregnant but there's no good news about it until date. So I was taking HSG on March 2010 and the result was beyond my expectation, my right tube were clogged so I cannot be pregnant and doctor asked me to do laparoscopy then IVF. I'm really down with this sickness and just want to be pregnant in normal way. My question is: 1. Does laparoscopy only to "look at" the disease without healing them? 2. If I do laparoscopy, do I have also do IVF? 3. Does in your hospital also can do IVF? 4. What is the cost to do laparoscopy in your hospital? I'm eager to wait your reply. Thanks! |

Dear Prita Lestari We can understand the agony you are suffering from. If you are confused because you are receiving contradictory advise, you need to formulate your own treatment plan, which takes into consideration your own personal preferences as well as your medical problems as well as cost consideration. The cost of IVF, in vitro fertilization treatment; is 1.5 lacs per cycle in India. Sometime diseased tube will not allow IVF to become successful. So, If you dont have problem with money try to get IVF done directly otherwise you should get one more laparoscopic surgery done. At our hospital laparoscopy will cost you 25,000 rupees.
