Dear Lovina

We can perform laparoscopic myomectomy for your patient and it will cost you 50 - 60,000 rupees. Removing the entire uterus (hysterectomy) is frequently done to treat fibroids, but many women are looking for alternatives to hysterectomy if they wish to have children or simply do not want to lose their uterus. Unfortunately, many gynecologists are hesitant to recommend myomectomy.

Hi my mother is 42 year old and recently from her ultrasound report we got to know that she is suffering from multiple fibroids. As per the report there are two fibroid in uterus of 38*36mm and 16*15mm sizes.
I just wanted to know are these curable without surgery and how much will it cost us? If they were cured without operation then is there any chance that they would grow up again in future.
Please reply ASAP.

Dear Adnan

There is no definite medical cure of fibroid. It the fibroids are symptomatic your mother need either laparoscopic myomectomy or hysterectomy. If the fibroids are asymptomatic nothing is required to do as your mother once will get menopause fibroid will automatically shrink.
