What precautions should I take when using laparoscopic surgery(bilateral fimrial block)after and before. when start relationship? |

Dear jenny While there are risks associated with any kind of operation, most diagnostic laparoscopic patients for bilateral fimbrial bloack experiences few or no complications and quickly go back to normal activities. It is important to keep in mind that before undergoing any kind of surgery--whether laparoscopic or open you should ask your surgeon about his/her training and experience. Complications of laparoscopic surgery are infrequent, but include bleeding, infection, pneumonia, blood clots, or heart disease. Unintended injury to adjacent structures like the blood vessels or small bowel may occur and may require another surgical procedure to repair it. Injury of bowel and leak in the abdomen may rarely occur. Numerous medical studies show the complication rate for diagnostic laparoscopic surgery for infertility is similar to the complication rate for open surgery when done by a properly trained surgeon. When you should CALL Your physician Make sure to call your personal doctor or surgeon if you develop the following: Persistent fever over 101 degrees F (39 C) Bleeding Increasing abdominal swelling Pain that isn't relieved because of your medications Persistent nausea or vomiting Chills Persistent cough or shortness of breath Purulent drainage (pus) from any incision Redness surrounding all of your incisions that's worsening or getting bigger You cannot eat or drink liquids |
