Can laparoscopic gall bladder surgery ( Overuse of gas) cause an existing inguinal hernia (non-problematic) to get substantially worse requiring immediate hernia surgery? |

Dear Paul Maren During laparoscopic surgery only 12-15 mm hg co2 pressure is used and it can not disfigure any important structure inside the abdomen. So do not worry. Your hernia is not due to previous laparoscopic surgery. With regards J S Chauhan |
