Its been 6 months after my inguinal laproscopic surgery. After 3 months i started doing light weight exercises & crunches and sit ups and felt pain at the point they have inserted mesh. So, i left the exercises and pain subsided. I have gained good 10 kgs in this 6 months. Still sometimes when i get stron jerk while driving, i can fell discomfortness for a while. Can i start crunches sit-ups, dips and push ups now? |

Dear Mr Siddiqui No particular after-care is required with this operation of laparoscopic hernia but patients should try to avoid heavy weight lifting, strenuous exercise and other activities which increases intra-abdominal pressure. With regards M.K. Gupta |

My son has had nine surgeries and even the sipmle surgeries are no fun to deal with. Just based on my experience, they may have given you a medication to calm you before they gave you anesthesia all those years ago and that is what made you so upset. My son used to get a medication called Versed before surgeries, until he had complications after his tonsillectomy and we opted for him to not get it for his subsequent operations. All the surgeries with the Versed, he had a horrible time coming out of the anesthesia. The three surgeries without it? No problem whatsoever. Not even a tear. Good luck! |
