Dear Anmol If you are suffering with irregular periods, it clearly suggests that your menstrual cycle has lost its balance. Actually, most irregular periods are benign and do not cause any complications to improve your health. Hormonal imbalance as a reason for irregular periods Too frequent periods, missed periods, spotting or bouts of heavy bleeding and clotting usually occur because of underlying hormonal imbalance in your body which hormonal imbalance can be treated easily. In the beginning of menstrual period, it may take several years for the hormones to control the changes in your body and to reach a balance in your regular menstrual cycle. During irregular periods you may also experience irregular menstrual periods even after your menstruation cycle. So, irregular periods at these particular stages of your life are not at all a cause of concern for you. Pregnancy and irregular periods, Pregnancy is also one of the leading reasons for irregular periods or missed periods. Obviously you will miss your period when you conceive but that is completely natural. Within the same time the post-partum period may trouble you and seem a little unnatural particularly if it presents as spotting of contrary as heavy bleeding. Random causes that may lead to irregular periods Significant weight gain or weight reduction is among the causes of irregular periods. Despite the fact that low body weight is the most standard reason for irregular periods, obesity also causes various irregularities inside your menstrual cycle. If you're a victim of severe emotional stress, you will be able to possibly experience irregular or missed periods. This really is because of the reason that stress may have very serious effect on your reproductive health. So, if you are aware you experience severe emotional stress, you may are afflicted by irregular periods. Various eating disorders for example anorexia or bulimia nervosa may also have influence on your family menstrual period. So, for those who have any kind of eating disorder, you can certainly experience irregular periods. Excessive exercising or body straining activities can also lead to irregular menstrual period. This is the reason why most of athletes encounter missed periods. Many new mothers do not resume their regular periods until they have completed their breastfeeding. So, they are able to possibly have irregular menstrual period. Alcohol consumption may also disturb your hormonal metabolism. Consequently, you will certainly end up with irregular or missed periods. Certain uterine abnormalities such as cervical polyps, uterine fibroids and endometriosis also cause irregular periods, too. These are a number of reasons that may cause you to experience irregular periods. So, if you are really concerned about your missed periods, be sure you consult any experienced gynecologist and discover the root cause of it. With regards DR. M.K. Gupta |

Eh, its more of an art than a science bc every women is frifedent. However, the sorta standard guideline is that you will actually conceive within 48 hours (I believe) of the sperm meeting the egg. Now, spermies can live in ur body up to 3 days. This practically buys you a week. Meaning, you coulda had sex last Friday, lets say, and if ur were in your fertile window, you could become pregnant like the following Wednesday.Hey, if you have a smart phone (or I suppose u could just use a program you find on the internet right on ur computer instead) look for an app called my days or a sister app. LOVE IT!!! Its a color coded calendar (by you), where you indicate what days you had sex, when ur period began/stopped, etc. With that info, it lets you know when ur most likely to be fertile which is great info whether you are, or are not, TTC.Congrats!!! Sorry to say .Im a bit jealous myself! lol |

Dear Aree In early stages of menstrual period, it may take several years for that hormones to manage the changes within your body and to reach a balance inside your regular menstrual cycle. So, irregular periods at these specific stages of your life are not whatsoever a cause of concern for you personally. If you are suffering with irregular periods after age of 18, it clearly indicates that your menstrual period has lost its balance.
