Dear Francesca It is not good to keep diseases non functional gallbladder. The gallbladder may cease working normally for a number of reasons, including inflammation of the organ, gallstones, gangrene or abscess, tumors or polyps and other disorders. The symptoms vary based on the reason for the condition. The gallbladder is a pear-shaped sac located underneath the liver around the upper right side from the abdomen. The gallbladder stores and concentrates bile, that is produced in the liver. Bile aids in the digestion of fats and is released from the gallbladder into the duodenum (upper small intestine) in reaction to foods, especially fats. In our opinion you should get removed your gallbladder. With regards M.K. Gupta |
