Dear Sam Surgery is needed or not for hiatus hernia depends upon some investigations. You can fix one appointment to see Dr. R.K. Mishra to see him at World Laparoscopy Hospital. Hiatus hernia symptoms can appear at any time or in any age group though the more than 50 age group seems to be most at risk due to this disease Even though the precise origin is unidentified there are certain specifics that point to some risk rather than others. Patient who smoke appear to be far more at risk as do those who are obese or overweight. At certain stages in their lifestyle patients are at risk of showing hiatus hernia symptoms. Anything generating undue pressure on the abdomen of the patient, such as straining as is widespread with constipation, bouts of heavy coughing or even an abnormal physical effort, can be responsible for symptoms. For this very reason, people carrying far more body weight than they ought to put extra pressure on their abdomen. You should try to sleep keeping head end upright. Take small meal at one time and avoid taking a lot of water after meal. Taking meal at late night and alcohol should be avoided. With regards Dr. J.S. Chowhan |

Looks like @fidely Looks like the stitches stay on there baceuse they are just wrapping the upper part of the stomach to make it more tight so gastric fluids wont go up; If not usually stitches placed inside of the body dissolve on their as well as some stitches used for surgeries done on the outside. Its more convenient as the patient does not have to come back to the hospital for removal. |
